Feel The Beat On Your Own Computer

Many purists debate the worth of an electronic drum kit when compared to an acoustic one but in todays technological advances, the types of drum sounds and the feel of an electronic drum kit are on par with their acoustic cousins. This coupled with the societal shift of people living in more compact dwellings and in apartments, it's easy to see why an electronic drum kit is gaining momentum as a must have for any serious drummer. Electronic drums have a number of benefits over their louder counterparts.

man dies from ncis accident

Less than a week after NCIS was renewed for a ninth season, a security guard has died during a tragic accident on the show's set in L.A.

According to law enforcement sources, a 60-year-old man driving a production van had a "medical emergency" and crashed into the set, hitting a 52-year-old male security guard.

The security guard was transported to a hospital, but unfortunately passed away soon after.

Our thoughts go out to the deceased's family and friends.

So sad.

Vocal EQ

I don't know if Elvis' number coming up in the last days of 1957 was orchestrated purposefully or not, but when Elvis was drafted into the army for a two-year stint, there was no doubt a lot of controversy swirling around him. It's no secret that there were many people who didn't like Elvis. They didn't like his long hair, his raw sensuality, his "suggestive" stage presence, his success, his fame, or anything else about him. So it's not too farfetched an idea to believe that his selection for service was perhaps less than random. If someone did pull a few strings to get Elvis inducted--and thus put a damper on his career--they didn't understand who they were dealing with and the movement that was under way.

Learn How to Sing With a Little Help

Born in 1770 in Bonn, Ludwig von Beethoven was forced to care for his two younger brothers at the tender age of 16 due to his mother's death and his father's alcoholism. His first works garnered critical acclaim, but unfortunately, his hearing began to suffer shortly thereafter. The situation became so intolerable that Beethoven thought about killing himself, but decided against it in favor of his art, and the world has benefited tremendously from this incredible artist's decision to continue composing music.

Throw Sick Parties With Beat Software

When making beats with beat software the most important aspect of you beat is going to be the drums. That bass line is what makes or breaks a beat! What you should do in the beginning is spend time listening to some of your favorite urban artists like Eminem, Tupac, Kommon, Kanye West, 50 Cent, etc. Listen to their styles. Try to identify what it is about their beats that you like.

So yesterday was our first (and only) full day here in Palm Springs, CA and while the temps were HOT as Hades, we managed to have a pretty fun time. Our friend Josh came out to Palm Springs for the weekend too so he hung out with us all day at the pool and all night at the club. The late night dancing options here in the desert are severly limited but we made the most of it. There was a lot of booze to keep the night well lubricated … ’twas fun, ’twas fun.

If you ever find yourself in Palm Springs and you’re lookin’ for a bitchin’ dance club, Toucan’s Tiki Lounge is NOT the place for you. But, because it’s like the only option, I guess you gotta make do. The DJ was pretty bad but he did, at least, play a few good songs. By the time the bachelorette party overtook the dancefloor (with huge inflatable penis in hand) it was time to bounce.

Late night desert turned into late night photobooth fun. We crashed out soon after and awoke today to, surprise, another scorching day! Because Carmageddon is ending early and the 405 highway is opening early back in LA, we’re leaving for home today. The weekend was fun but my guess is that Palm Springs is much more fun … in the Winter. I’m anxious to get back home … so, I’m out.

Top Tips to Learn to Play the Guitar

Parachute is a pretty young pop rock band, as well as its members. After graduating from college in 2008, some enthusiastic dreamers formed the band that was first called Sparky's Flaw until one of the biggest skincare brand - Nivea - asked the change of the name. And so, Sparky's Flaw became Parachute, a "blue-eyed soul, adult pop, Maroon 5-style faux-funk: it's the Goldilocks of pop-rock, neither too hot nor too cold, but just right" as Fly Magazine depicted it, that started a massive attack for popularity and fame.

Popular Karaoke Songs Sang By The Beatles

During the seventies, the Swedish hit-making machine ABBA were a force to be reckoned with, and today many of their recordings have evolved to a new existence as popular karaoke songs. ABBA was founded by Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Anderson, two Swedish musicians who soon recruited their womenfolk, who were talented singers in their own right, to join them on stage.

The Most Expensive Guitar Picks In The World

If you're having that "buy an acoustic guitar" urge, it is best that you suppress that feeling, take a step back, and look at the bigger picture. It's never a good idea to jump on to just buying an acoustic guitar because you need one. You have to choose your guitar carefully, as it will be your "weapon of choice" as you hone your musician skills. To choose your guitar, you would have to put yourself in the shoes of one of the following standpoints, and explore a few perspectives.
